That was a good inductory route over that hump past that sump with the wee bump that threatened to dunk...

Sometimes excess momentum can get you into trouble, sometimes when a slide into the abyss threatens, a little momentum can be a good thing :?:

Great pics. I'm thinking; 'I hope that rope doesn't break now'.

Roger must have set the record for number of spectacular recoveries at an event. Was anyone counting ? The long winch through the mud will remain etched on the memory for many years. I was chatting to the proprietor whilst we observed Rogers heavily-modded yellow monster just manage to negotiate a tricky obstacle, and he seemed very impressed. Clearly he'd not seen Syncros before, he was there with his lads, and they were all saying 'we want one'. The wonderful throb of the waterboxer added to the effect I'm sure. Rog I think deserves the 'most mental Syncronaut' award. He really needs a LHD PAS rack, anyone got a spare one ?

Very good Sharon :ok

Well, we had a couple of prizes, but forgot about them in all the excitement and activity

Roger deserves a prize, that's for sure...

Now, let's have a competition for 'in what name we give it' :D

I'll start.... 'The importance of being earnest' (when faced with a field of mud of unknown depth)

A good strong mug of coffee for me, too much effort to make a decent cup of tea at camp - bone china breaks too easily!
