Adventure Overland '17

Post by johnnyjohnton »

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you all for making us newbies feel so welcome and inviting us to join the Thai meal even though we had nothing to contribute. It was great to finally put faces to names and meet so many lovely people. Hopefully we can make Syncropendence '18 and the Caravelle will have a little less rust and a bit more shine!
Cheers
John, Linda and the Rusty Bus.

It was a lovely weekend, a bit knackered now but the few pics I took, I shall post up tomorrow.

Glad you enjoyed the weekend, always welcome.
It's all the little moments in life that make it a big adventure.

Frustrated to have not made it courtesy of a failed lambda sensor - next year!

To echo Johnyjohnton....

We too had a great time up at the show - thanks for making me and my boy feel so welcome!
Good to put so many faces to the names and thanks to all of you who clearly made such an effort with the organisation etc.

Great to see everyone enjoying a very casual and sociable weekend with some gorgeous weather on the Sunday.
Also we appreciate the work everyone put into preparing, serving (and as importantly, enjoying) Saturday night's Thai themed feast.
Special thanks to Simon and Aidan for storing & transporting a lot of the club stuff, Sharon for co-ordinating and producing her own Sat night food, Jenny for everything else almost and all those lending a hand setting it all up and helping us pack our van and get underway .
Sorry to all those I've missed out :)

Finally it was nice to welcome the LT 4x4 crews again as well as get to know those joining us for the first time!

It really is a great show isn't it. It felt more spread out this year and I liked that. I was looking on youtube last night and found a channel that had filmed all the seminars incase you wanted to go to them and some how missed them. I will dig out the channel when I get back home later today.

As always it was epic to spend some time with this club and its fine members.

Dia you left without me returning your jerry can so if you can PM me your address I will send it back in the post empty with some cash in the box of the fuel we used in the CVC generator. I just put the rest in the new Monkey bike and topped it right up ;)

Oh and if anyone found a couple of bowls we brought over with food in could you hold them for me until we meet again. They have badgers and tents around the rim.

Cheers,

Jed
