Mendipidy 2015

Click on the flier for the booking form.

First club outing of the season, Early May Bank Holiday weekend.

You may remember last year - http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=131713
Mud, friends, sun, slopes, fun, cider, beaches, long drop toilets (well maybe you've erased that last memory!)

We're mad enough to do it again. Come join us on the edge of Priddy Village, Somerset for another eventful weekend.
Location, campsite and pub are same as last year. http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=129839
We might even have hired a portaloo this year, for the faint hearted. We've shifted to a smaller, more sheltered field for camping.
We'll be plugging most lanes on Sunday instead of Monday.

Friday - turn up from teatime-ish. Set up camp, campfire or stroll to pub in evening.
Saturday - at the off-road site for a day of driving, competition, getting stuck/unstuck. Campfire or stroll to pub in evening.
Sunday - green laning all day. Pub meal in evening.
Monday - a morning of touring/sight-seeing and bit more laning for those still around.

For beginners the off-road site has field areas and easier options to learn and practise on. There is usually available some informal tuition on how to drive a Syncro off-road.

People can partake as they wish.

Hope the guys with the water rockets, burning the kitchen work tops on their fire are there again. We were inspired by them. Rockets, not worktop burning.

After a little research we were getting some serious height with our PET bottle rockets. Until I pumped a double bottle to 110psi in a Sunday morning and it exploded with very small parts being scattered over my neighbours gardens and my ears ringing for the next hour!

Desperately trying to get the syncro roadworthy as still have a leaking oil thrower in gearbox, so if I book but come in the 2wd camper, would I get on site, and would we be able to get around with you guys? I have been promised that the syncro will be back with me next week, but when? :x

I'll be there on my own so you'd be very welcome to sit in with me. I'm there Fri, Sat & Sun but going home Sun evening. Hope yours gets sorted tho.
