Scottish gathering.

Post by meladean »

Anyone know if there is a get together organised for the Scottish Syncro's anytime soon?
After speaking to a couple of Syncro owners it had been mentioned at Volksfling back in August that something was in the pipeline for the end of September but not heard anything about it since.

Mmm..
The Forestry commission opens up a few tracks for an event every now and then.. ought to be worth a shot in asking if they would do that for us.. although.. seen some of the logging tracks that were used a few years ago and they were pretty extreme.. always worth a reccie as there must be hundreds of cracking tracks on harder surfaces.. must be some mountain passes worth a trip... :ok

The forestry idea wasn't given the go ahead by the commission. Something to do with harvesting works in the area.

So it's on to the backup plan.
A cruise around the three lochs route followed by BBQ and camping at Doms yurt on Saturday night.
Fingers crossed for some nice weather. :ok

Thanks to Alastair for getting us all together, and special thanks to Dom for the use of Riona wood , which was a brilliant base for our little get together in the Trossachs, eight vans on saturday, and seven camped out which was great fun, mcgill catching up with sleep til sunday afternoon, or was it the bottle of buckfast that did it! Kids loved it too with loads to see and do. Good company and good times. Can't wait till the next adventure.

Really good stop over in a lovely little bit of Doms woodland. Great to all meet up and use our Syncros for what they were built for. Will have to persuade Dom to get his Syncro up the top of the hill."....... :D
