Adventure Overland Show 28-29 September

Post by JennyTyger »

The Syncronauts are again have a stand at this show which this year is at Stratford Racecourse.

We have a new Coleman shelter tent for our display which like last year's will have pictures and write-ups of people's travels. If you can help with this it would be great. Anyone who has been on a European tour or further afield please take a look at last year's posters:

http://www.syncronauts.org.uk/syncronau ... nd-display

Here is an example (click for the full size version)

Image

So basically we need from you:

  • A brief write-up of your journey
  • Photos (full res)
  • Route map

Please send to:-membership@syncronauts.org.uk

I will re-use last year's posters but would be good to have fresh material too.

This was our display tent:

We do not know the size of our pitch yet, but basically there will be the shelter tent, plus 2 or 3 vehicles on display.

It says on the camping booking form that there are two camping areas: general and club. In theory the club camping should be behind our pitch.

It was a great show last year, hope lots of you can make it. You can download the booking form from the bottom of this page:

It works in Firefox, but doesn't seem to in Chrome.

Having studied the site plan it looks like the club camping will be remote from the syncronaut's display pitches at D9 and E9 or am I reading it wrong?

The traders/exhibitors list certainly reads like a who's who of the outdoor and 4x4 scene!

It is confusing, looks like £48.. for camping + one adult for 2 days

Yet then the sample of discounts seems to be £36... 3 x 12 for 2 days ???

I think it sounds expensive because it was aimed at making the discounts look like worth grabbing, or vice versa even...

still, don't like the look of the pricing philosophy as such, expect it will be revised next year again too :|
