ADVENTURE OVERLAND SHOW - Club Display Stand?

Post by Tom Mc »

Hiya - This is actually my second post on the Club 80-90 Forums as I've just posted within the "Camping & Travelling" section about a new event coming up in October entitled ADVENTURE OVERLAND SHOW. I shall repeat my post below because I would like to invite the Club 80-90 Syncronauts to attend with a Club Display Stand. Next step - have a look at the event website at http://www.adventureoverlandshow.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Clubs section) and if interested we would love to see you at the show. Cheers.

Sorry, bit of a cheek as it’s my first post, so hope you don’t mind me announcing the following event on the forum. I was at CamperJam at Weston Park last month with the sole intention of doing a tour of the entire campsite to see every owner, but unfortunately the mud of the Great British Summer beat me so now have no choice but to turn instead to the forums to ‘spread the word’. If however the moderators feel they need to delete this announcement, then fair enough.

Here’s something different for you …

6-7 October 2012
ADVENTURE OVERLAND … the national 4x4, bike & trekking travel show

Held at Whilton Mill, nr. Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 2NH, ADVENTURE OVERLAND aims to span the entire overland and adventure travel scene whether it be organised tours/safaris or independent travel.

Encompassing all forms of travel without bias, it will include everything from 4x4's to all-wheel-drive expedition trucks, campervans to motorhomes, trailbikes/enduro/dirt bikes to long-distance tourers, mountain bikes to tandems, adventure sports in the UK to treks, tours, expeditions and explorations in far-flung foreign lands.

It also incorporates an element that's linked to all these forms of travel - bushcraft - a specialised field encompassing survival skills, wilderness training, bushlore, tracking, navigation and first aid training, knowledge and application. In a nutshell, it's a new type of all-embracing event that has never been held before.

There will also be free entry to all overland vehicles/campervans/trucks over 3.5 tonnes as display vehicles, so please inform any owners you may know.

Here’s hoping you will be able to join us in October!

Contact: 024 767 31971 - 07958 216266 - 4x4trading@talk21.com ~ http://www.adventureoverlandshow.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

One final but important point, should any owners of VW campervans wish to camp at ADVENTURE OVERLAND, they will receive an automatic 30% advance-booking discount if booked before 1st September 2012. The reason for this discount? It’s simply because 30% is the ‘before March’ rate, and as I’ve only just informed you, to charge full price would be unfair. Simply write on the Booking Form “Split Screen”, “T4”, “Syncro” or whatever model you own to receive 30% off your camping fee. Ta!

Your show sounds interesting and I'm sure as a club, we would have no problem putting together a club stand full of interesting vehicles and stories.

The committee will be in touch to make the arrangements, but if those wishing to be involved can voice their interest here we can get the ball rolling.

Also, good opportunity here for another club camping weekend. :ok
