Scottish Syncronauts September gathering and offroad weekend

Post by syncro up »

Following on from last year’s AGM, some of you will remember there was a lot of interest about holding a Scottish Syncronauts event.

Well, in its first year, we’ve decided to keep it simple and get the ball rolling with an offroad weekend at the Drumclog pay and play site near Strathaven.

The Drumclog side is very large and varied with steel climbs, bogs and river crossings etc.
The site has a flat camping area and will also provide a large pile of pallets for bonfire, they will arrange for a toilet to be on site also.

Cost for the weekend will be circa £60, for driving over the two days. As usual, drivers will need to be Syncronauts members.

The event will be held over the weekend of the 21st-23rd September with arrival on the Friday evening before driving Saturday and Sunday.

The site will be open to other 4x4 as usual over our weekend, but with the scale of the site, this won’t be noticeable.

If you want to have an idea of what’s available, then just do a search on Youtube for Drumclog 4x4.

Location

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=55. ... n&t=m&z=13" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It’s owned by the same people who own the dirt bike track you can see in Google earth.

This is an opportunity for those Northern and Scottish Syncronauts to have a gathering a bit closer to home, please support this inaugural event and we can look to build on this for next year.

Many thanks in advance and I hope to see many of you at the Scottish Syncronauts event.
