Pretty much everything is rubbish on wet grass...

unless you get to cut through it into something more substantial. My truck doesn't have enough weight for that, in fact have we agreed for a fact that lower tyre pressures help on wet grass? Maybe they don't...

We noticed this effect at CJ Offroad tracks, until we'd thrown a lot of the crap [wet leaf mould, top surface stuff, weeds etc) off the surface the steep climbs were failed or marginally climable, at the end Paul and myself at least were going up them with no front lockers

You don't slide back down like that (SP wet hills) even on mud, IMHO.

I think rain on grass brings out a grease in it, like grass juice :|

Airing down tyres really only has the effect of decreasing ground pressure but if done carefully ( down to maybe 25 psi ) can be useful for climbing rocks. Its a careful balance between vehicle weight / tyre size / tyre pressure. Too low a pressure and your tyres come off.

I spent 10 years competing in 'Sporting Car Trials' and airing down the tyres seldom made any difference although the terrain we were competing on was a lot more difficult than anything a Syncro could tackle
