Post by davidc1 »

Ok.. first off apolagies for being over a week late with the post, its been a hectic week but id like to say a big thanks to all who were involved in the Shipston meet, was a great weekend, met some good people and was fantastic to see so many other syncros doing what they were built for! CHEERS ALL! :D
Was a few guys asking about the curtains in my van and im pleased to say iv found where i got them from on German ebay, however they have gone up in price since i bought them just after xmas which is a bit of a shame but here they are...

Funnily enough I've been wanting to get a set of quality curtains made for the SA with top and bottom tracks, these could be just the thing. I'll make an enquiry about made-to-measure and fitting around a/c ducting 8)

As a follow-on from Ian's thread about loosing a treasured item at Shipston I'd like to add that on the Monday when I did a litter sweep there was very little litter lying around, so well done everyone for leaving it so clean. We are expected to take home our own garbage at these events so if everyone could pack out their garbage as well that would be best. Max bravely took the bin bags home herself for recycling sorting. Her bin men must think she's a lush as there was certainly loads of alcoholic drinks containers for her to put in her recycling.

Max did a great job of cleaning up around the campfire on the Monday morning, filling several rubbish bags that she then took home to get rid of. Clive and I took the bags of bottles (which we were too embarrassed to leave on our doorstep for recycling) so called by bottle bank on way home. :)

Next event we will give out bin bags to everyone - so hopefully nothing is left behind at all!

We came home with one piece of lost property - a child's hi-viz jacket. Surely someone must be missing this? Neil?
