We are trying our best to come to this, always wanted to have a look at Salisbury plain, i've just (virtually) finished a sump/gearbox bash plate, all welded up and fitted under the audi lump. Still hav'nt got the diff locks working, and now the starter solonoid on the Devon has packed up, my wifes car and my sons car both need mots, so I dont think I will get to do the diff locks yet. But roll on Salisbury!!

Hi, after meeting some of you at the AO, it was suggested that This meet would be a good one for us. Just registering our interest. Wanted to make sure you guys are ok for us to tag along in the LT.
We are about as green as you can get when it comes to driving offroad, but I guess you've got to start somewhere.
We need to get to know the van and get some experience.
Cheers

You will both be fine on most of the lanes. It's more of a scenic dirt track drive around the plains. You should be able to drive around most areas where you will become stuck. There area a few areas that neither a 2wd or an LT 4x4 will be able to go, like the really good lane a few of us did last year! But again you can drive round it.
It'll be a good opportunity for you to see how far a 2wd on AT's and a lift can go and have the reassurance of back up should you need.
This is good to know Ninja, want to come along even more now Will have been camping in London the whole week prior to this Salisbury weekend so just working out logistics.

You're not the only green green laners I've only done a few and these are a good bunch to go with
I'm only coming because I need more work on the van and Baz is handy on the spanners
Only kidding - it'll be fine - doing it before I come else it wont make it

Would like to tag along but 2 w/ends away on the trot is a no-no.
PS I always thought that "donk" was an Aussie term meaning a brute?
