Solex 32-34 PDSIT carb

Post by gavb »

Hi, can anyone help?!! Ive got a 2 litre air cooled van with twin carbs ( Solex 32-34 PDSIT 2/3 ) the problem is im missing the acceleration jet in the top of the number 3 carb ( apparently its a common thing, the brass looking tube gets sucked out and gets chunked up in your engine!!) I know now after doing a lot of ringing round that this was never a offered as a spares item so im looking for a second hand one. My only success so far is Mega bug but they want £75 plus postage, which for the whole carb is a reasonable price but the gutting thing is i only need the tube which is pence in comparrison. Does anyone one have or know where to try for a Solex 32-34 PDSIT 3 carb. Based in the Midlands, Dudley

Thanks :ok

If you mean part 24A then it is available from VW classic parts.

I think that should be it however it appears to be fairly straight on that pic , where as in the carb thats still got one in, the little brass looking tube has a proper 90 degree bend pointing down towards the butterfly? is it just the picture is just a rough guide? :?

Just to add, have spoken to vwheritage and Just kampers and they say they cant get it. :(
