So it is five years later......we have just done the same journey, the daughter is now 18, the dog is 8 years old I have acquired a few grey hairs and the wife is just the same, the good old camper is still returning 34-36mpg driving at 60-65mph.

What colour is the van

The official colour is Colorado Red, A VW Passat colour I think LB3Y metalic/pearlescent. The original colour was Marsala Red.
