insuring my van.

Post by totallyconfused »

Hi,

I hope someone can help me....I have a 1981 Aircooled transporter. However, it isnt a panel van as has windows and bench seats. However, the only model that seems to come up on the insurtance company databases for that year is a 1.6 hiroof transporter. my van isnt a hiroof. I have explained this to the insurance company and now they are giving hassle over what model my van is.

Any suggestions as to what model i should say? As it stands i am really struggling to gey the van insured. I have sent them a scan of the haynes manual showing the transporter with windows and bench seats....but they havent got back to me.

thanks for your help.

Get a more enlightened insurance company, a few go with glynwoods as they have a clue rather than your high street names. There is an insurance thread in mechanical section. :?:

Hi, have you tried going with a specialist insurance company like just campers...cheap and good!!!!! if you dont want to....just give them your details for a quote and see what model they come up with. Its worth a go
Thanks
Jase :)
