hmmm - I'm cracking all of a whopping 13mpg on LPG and around 16-20 on petrol (remember I'm on a 1776'd CT with webbers!!)

it's been on the rolling road previously - the causing factors are the fact it's an (old) modded CT lump running old webbers yanking a full Devon conversion around

the mpg figures quoted have been taken just recently whilst the weather is the coldest we see in the UK so it's gonna be way up - I think it sits around 18-24 on petrol in the summer - not yet worked out the LPG figures for summer as I was still faffing about with it back then!

Off topic now I know -if I can get hold of a std carb (that works) I am thinking of going back to that but the jetting thing gets me on a std carb, as I'm 1776'd I'd need bigger jets and am unsure where to get them from for a solex/what to drill them out too (if I went the drill route) - I have a 2.0l I've been tinkering about with so next year I think that's going in once I get a gearbox sorted

Well that's not so bad, would you recommend carbs are set up with a rolling road especially webers ?
Have you driven it with any other carb on?

I did try with an old std carb but it was buggered (worn) so I took it off and binned it! - the 34's are all I have at the mo. Not sure will have to have a dig but I think I still have a std CT manifold+ airbox, just no carb.....

think we ought to move this conversation to PM/somewhere else as we've hijacked the thread :?:
