VW Coolant - Any deals our there you've seen

Post by nesty »

Anyone see any decent deals on VW G12 or G13 coolant recently?
Need to do a coolant change so require 8/9L, (generally in the past garages have purchased for when servicing), but now I need to get this myself.

VW have been doing good deals on their range of coolant recently, worth checking with your local Quantum stockist

Ok thanks is G13 ok for our T25's?

I have a 30% off code for GSF, though even with the 30% off works out more dearer than say ebay!

Just watch out, the cheap stuff is sometimes ready mixed 50/50 with water but isn't half the price.

This is compatible for a T25?
It says VW G-12/TL-774D & VW G-12+/TL-774F.

Better deal (usually) to wait until either ECP or GSF run a fairly good price reduction and buy a much bigger container. I always buy the 20l ones as they can be as little as £30 at times, and it'll be sods law that you end up draining the system to attend to something. I'd rather have too much than too little given the strong mix in these cooling systems. In the past I've bought "just enough" and it always ends up costing me more.

In an ideal world, you'd fill the system with red long-life and not need to replace it for 4-5 years but in reality, stuff happens. A hose will go, or the radiator start to leak or the water pump need replacing. With luck, none of these problems will occur but from experience, luck is rarely on your side ;)

Thanks gone for the Red 20L, it worked out only £6 more then buying 10L, as you say probably will have to put some more in at some point!
