Fuel expansion tank
Just looked at the expansion tank under the wheel arch, and found that one outlet has no pipe attached - does that sound right?? The other outlet has a fuel line heading off towards the tank - should there be another? Thanks.
Re: Fuel expansion tank
Yes both should have pipes connected to the tank.

And both should have outlet pipes (which mine doesn't).

Re: Fuel expansion tank
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I am currently fitting a new fuel system to my bus as a previous owner removed the original tank and put one under the bed (which is at best inconvenient and smelly if any spills!!)
Looking further I found the expansion tank under my right arm and at first had no idea what it was.
Is it an essential part as I haven't seen them in any of the fuel sections on parts websites?
Sorry if this sounds daft, but never had an original system on the bus.

Under your right arm, must have been difficult getting your shirt on. Seriously though there should be a tank under both front arches.

Thanks for that - think I can see where it should attach. Initially thought it was a breather pipe for the tank. Cheers.
