I'll confess, I cheated and still didn't get the answer from either ETKA or the online VW catalogue.

Something tells me it's got something to do with the heating system, you now when you think you have seen something but not sure when or where or if.

Cheers Aidan, makes total sense. That means it has come off the set destined for the syncro.

(The lad found it tucked in a corner of the works reception while doing a tidy up)
