open canoe on a high top

Does anyone with a high top carry there open canoe on top? Currently have a tin top but looking at getting a high top fitted for various reasons, it is practical to put a canoe on top? im thinking its going to be very high and make for an interesting drive.
Any ideas or pics of what you do would be great.
