Does vactan go off?

Hello everybody!
I have had some vactan sat on the shelf for some considerable time...
Is it in useable after a certain time period?

I believe it does. Not sure on period but suppose depends how much air it has been exposed to and storage condition.
I had a small tub of hammerite stuff which seeminly stopped working - but I had had it for years

Always best to decant small amounts into a container when using it and not to dip a contaminated brush into the main bottle.

Vactan, once opened, has a shelf life of 12 months. Thats why you should only ever buy small containers. Many rust treatments have a limited life once the top/cap has been opened.
