early 25
Hi all i have been into vws since 1970 and just found out that the early type 25s have the 1600 air cooled engine. From photos i have seen the tin ware looks somewhat different to the type 2s similar to the type 3 fastback minus the twin carbs. Can anyone tell me up to what year these were available, or was it only 1980. I always thought they were all 1900 twin carb air cool jobs, obviously not. Are there still parts for these ie heat exchangers exhausts are these vehicles brakes pads front shoes rear. I used to work a lot on beetles and type 2s am i right in thinking the 80s type 25 is a step up in design on these engines. any information on this model would be appreciated. many thanks Tony
