12v electric blanket.
I've seen a few 12v electric blankets on e-bay etc.
they seem to draw about 50w/4 amp
the ones with a 1 hr timer seem like a good idea so you don't flatten your leisure battery.
has anyone tried them? any good?

They work okay, they do enough to take the chill off when you get into bed.

Ohhh, what a lovely idea, never thought of a 12v one being possible. I know someone who'd like that!

Hot water bottle just as good, plus you get a cocoa at the same time, or - tip the cocoa in the hot water bottle, then if you wake up thirsty.....

Re: 12v electric blanket.
I have a 12V over blanket for extreme conditions.
It works ok. However does take some juice. I can see the voltage drop on the meter when I plug it in!

Re: 12v electric blanket.
Thanks Nesty.
We had our first night in the van last night and were warm and toasty while it was pretty nippy outside. we barely used the propex, just a couple of short blasts so we probably won't be needing the lecky blanket as hopefully we won't be out in "extreme conditions".
We were pleasantly surprised at how well the van held the heat.

Re: 12v electric blanket.
My van doesn't hold heat all that well as needs venting for the gas, (not mine), the vans!
I found the blanket ok if it gets ultra cold! A good addition to have.
