Boring tyre post

Post by JustSharon »

Happy Friday to you all.

Age old convo but usually centred on ATs and MTs, what are people's thoughts to normal roady tyres?

The blue one is going to be doing a fair amount of tarmac over the next year notwithstanding a few icy trips up North over winter. I've eaked out as much as I can on the wranglers and just wondered what your thoughts are.

I went for General grabbers to replace the BFG's. On the road they are an improvement - off road they do fine but they are noticeably lacking when the mud gets deep or sticky

The Grabber AT (not AT2 or 3) looked like a good all-weather road tyre to me.

IIRC Emma had them on that early green camo pritsche?

when I bought my 16" in Germany it had Yokohama geolander AT tyres on. They were great on mud (light), snow (heavy) and ice (solid). They lasted well and ran quiet on the road.

General Grabber AT3s on the red van. Great on road manners and credible off road performance. Just fitted BFG KM3s to Doka. Standby for update.
