Hi all.
Got a set of these
https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-parts/t ... 5-112.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And thinking of putting these on
https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop ... 2&dsco=110" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Anyone had any experience with these tyres and will they be ok in the arches?
Bus is standard height and set-up.
Cheers.

Re: Wheel and tyre combo?
They should fit okay - 215/75 R15 are the biggest generally accepted tyre that will fit and 195/80 R15 are about 1cm smaller diameter than that.
However, be aware that you would be running abour 6% larger diameter than the standard 185 R14 tyres, and so you may find slightly lower gears are in order on hills, and your speedo might be off a little.

Great, thanks.
So would 195/70/15 be any better? Or am I missing something.
I got told awhile ago to put 195/70s on front and 195/80s on the back. Front size to keep close to original and rear to lift gearing a bit. Does that sound right and make any sense?
I get confused with tyre sizes. I like the chunky look by the way.
Thank Jon

Re: Wheel and tyre combo?
The first number is the nominal width of the tyre profile in millimetres.
The second number is a percentage, and represents the relative height of the tyre in relation to the profile width.
The R15 figure relates to rim diamater, in this case a 15" diameter rim.
So your 195/80 R15 tyres would be nominally 195 mm wide and 156 mm high from the rim (i.e. 80% of 195 = 156 mm) on a 381mm diameter rim (15 x 25.4 mm) for a total tyre diameter of 693 mm.
Whereas 195/70 R15 tyres would be 195 mm wide by 136.5 mm high from the rim (i.e. 70% of 195 = 136.5 mm) on a 381 mm diameter rim for a total tyre diameter of 654 mm.
Have a play with the tyre size calculator here and you'll soon see how it works.
Where a tyre doesn't show a profile height percentage figure e.g. 185 R14 then the assumption is that the profile height percentage is 82%.

Ok, got it. Thank you.
So is my assumption and what I'v been told, 195/70/15 on front and 195/80/15 on the back. Front size to keep close to original and rear to lift gearing a bit correct and fit well or is this info completely wrong.
Thanks.

Yes. 195/70 R15 would be similar size to 185 R14, but if it was me I would go with same size on the front as the back to avoid it looking a little bit 'wacky races'.

'wacky races'.
Yep, no need for that look.
Thanks for your comments and help, appreciate it.
