Mercedes steel wheels

Sorry to put this out there again! Over time I seem to be collecting replacement Merc steelies for the bus.
Fitted two 16" wheels from the W210 model Merc on the rear no problem (with the new nuts from Brickwerks).
Haven`t had time to offer up the wheels to the front yet and I`ve read the wiki guide but would appreciate a little advice too!
Do the fronts need machining, obviously I`ll need new bolts/or nuts and are spacers required? Also want to fit larger profile tyres but nothing that`s going to cause issues or invalidate potential insurance claims?
Anybody got any advice as this semms to be a popular mod??
