Running 205 / 80 / 16 Cooper Discoverer S/T tyres with JX engine and about 300kg extra camper weight. The sticker says 205r16 reinforced 26 front thirty rear. So I deflated to around that but they feel so spongy. I think I kept them before about 40/44 but to be honest I haven't got a clue. Any ideas please to stay safe but not lose 10 mpg with what seem flat tyres!!!

I would go with the 40 / 44 you used before. Those are roughly the pressures we run on our 215/70 R16 BFG ATs.

Cheers that's good to know. Put them to 31/36 earlier and even that was a huge improvement. I think I've got a knackered injector too so will put them back to 40/44 for the rest of my journey
