What do I need?
Looking for a little advice please. I have recently acquired a set of ronal r8 rims (6j X 15 et45) from syncroandy (cheers). The question is, what spacers if any would I need to fit these on my 14" syncro and what size tires would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Well a lot of reading tells me that 195/80/r15 is a good idea but still not sure about spacers. Anyone?

It maybe worth dropping Syncroandy a PM, as he probably will know?
There is a post in the Wiki: http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Wh ... ive_wheels http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Sy ... ative_Rims
May be worth reading through?

Re: What do I need?
Thanks. I have read the wiki and many posts on the matter. Some people are all for spacers and others are dead against them. Was just looking for thoughts. Guessing I need 14mm to take it to the recommended 35 but the wiki says syncros can handle a bit more. How much more?

Not sure on syncros im afraid.
just make sure the spacer bolts to the hub, then wheel to the spacer.

Re: What do I need?
Factory alloys are 6j with ET of 30, so you would want 15mm spacers to give you factory geometry.
Remember ET is the offset between the wheel hub face and the wheel width midpoint, so required ET will be different for different wheel widths.

Re: What do I need?
Hi,
I run 7 x 16 et 37 on my syncro with plenty of clearance and checking your size with an online size calculator you should have 4.7mm more clearance than me inside and just over 20mm more on the outside. I have no pinch weld on the trailing arms and have 20mm clearance with 215 x 70 BFG tyres.

Re: What do I need?
Cheers. Suppose it's worth trying them on first. I have another stupid question, I have seen many pictures of syncros some have tires with straight side walls and some have slightly bulging ones. Is this down to tire width or just the tires themselves? I'm sure you are all rolling your eyes at the moment but I wouldn't know where to start searching for the answer to that one.
