VW Steel Wheels

Post by Drawl21 »

Hi all,my 87 crewcab was imported last year and came with a set of 16 inch VW steels on it,i registered it end of january,so ive been driving round in it since then, with on issues at all, took a closer look at them today and they are 6Jx16 H2 ET50,i did a google search and i think they're off a Touran, they look great on,iv'e looked in the wheels and tyre section here and the correct ET is 30,should i be using spacers/longer bolts etc?,it seems to drive handle well, should i be experiencing anything with these on her?,thanks Dave

Have you had them off the vehicle? They must have long studs and spacers already or else they'd rub on your wishbones. Wip them off and have a look.

Thanks for the reply, had the fronts off to change the steering rack gators, there was nothing on the hub, unless the spacer was stuck to the back of the wheel and iv'e not noticed it,didn't see any spacers, and they're definitely not rubbing anywhere, weird?,cheers Dave
