Aspect Ratio!
Can anyone confirm if I can downsize my tires from the standard 185/75/14 to 185/65/14 using the same wheels ?
I understand that the Speedo will record differently but I use satnav most of the time anyway.
I'm going to commit to buying 4 New tyres tomorrow so don't want to waste money if I can get smaller I'll be happy and so will my midget wife.

Yes you can fit the 65s on your rims. The engine will Rev higher especially on the motorway but on the up side you will have quicker acceleration.

I'm actually going the other way from 205 70 14 to 205 70 15 just purchased a set Mercede penta alloys. I will be fitting these after I've done something with my oil burning td engine .
Not sure what to do yet?

Don't forget the load rating...these look good, circumference is standard.

Shorter Springs; Does that mean I have to change my Shock absorbers as well?

Re: Aspect Ratio!
How much lower do you want to be? Judging by your tyre choice, not enough to warrant any expense IMHO.
Start from deciding where you want to be, them work towards that

Nope.
But if your shocks are 25 years old then it might be a good idea.
Brickwerks offer good quality lowering components, and various drops, from 30mm to 70mm
