This would be one product I'd be interested in if it were available here in the USA. Pretty sure it would be cost prohibative with shipping and such. Does anyone that owns one of these, can you give a detailed description of how its made? Would like to see some close up pictures of it as well if available. Maybe its something that can be made at home?

We have one of these as well. Got it off ebay for £75. Works really well as Patrick says. We have fitted three press studs to the top front as have others on here. Not sure they are really needed though because when you pull it tight with a bungee at the back its own rigidity holds it in place.

I have the one from Gunzl and if I'm honest it's far too......for want of a better word 'FLACID' loose, not stiff, so it hangs all baggy. The Brickwerks one is much more rigid and sits nice without sagging.
However....I will say Gunzl's wrap goes all the way around and covers the rear as well will two big strips of velcro allowing the wrap to overlap and create a 100% seal all the way around.
If only the Brickwerks one did the same.......

Probably doesn't do you a lot of good, but Bus Depot in the US has them.

Any of you that have the pop top thermal cover, care to take some pics and measurements of theirs?
It's really hard to see rigidity and texture of these with the ads from the sellers. We do not have any
here in the US for sale and I am thinking if I get some good pics and the measurements, I should be
able to make my own?

I haven't got a real close up but if you look at the sides you will see how they are bellowed out a little.
When we first got this it would sag at the front exposing the top 10/15cm of the canvas. I modified ours by fitting three press studs arcoss the top front edge so now it's weight is effectively hanging from the top (like a curtain).



As far as measurements go...they all fit just fine, it's how they look that differs (and the fact that most leave the back section uncovered)

Thanks for the pic! Since you have both the pop top thermal cover and the window blankets, could you tell me about the material each is made from. I have the window blankets, so I know about these. Is the pop top's material the same as the window blankets, or is it more firm and rigid?
I know from expirence that the window blankets material is fragile. I have put several tears in mine. Just trying to get a sense if the pop top is like the aftermarket sun shades that are sold at the box stores here. Home Depot sells silver insulating wrap closely resembling that of the sun shades'. Thanks for the time and help!!

Here's ours:



It doesn't sag so much as the Gunzl ones but it may not be as substantial and it doesn't go all the way round the back. Its held in place with a bungee which you can't quite see in the picture. Just to be on the safe side we've also done the three press stud trick as California Dreaming describes above. Whatever, it still makes a good job of insulating from heat and cold and serves to keep the roof canvas dry in all but the most horizontal rain. £75 of ebay and it was brand new as far as we could see. I think its the same as the Brickwerks ones.

As you'll see Timwhy, we also have the thermal window liners. They are a similar material. We've not managed to tear ours yet though!

I think both the pictures pretty much illustrate the differences, PetenAli's one (bottom pic) definately shows that this wrap is made from a more rigid material, closer to the fabric used to make the thermal blinds. I think that these look better than the one I have BUT.......it's a real shame the manufacturer didn't see fit to extend the panel around the rear section.
