Holdsworth Cooker - HELP !!!

Post by kaminokid »

Hi all
I have a 1988 Holdsworth Villa 3. Recently the left hand cooker control knob has started to leak gas. We have contacted Thetford Spinflo the manufacturer off the cooker and all parts pre 2001 are now obsolete!
Does anyone have any info on where I can find spares or indeed a second hand unit, as I wish to keep the van as original as possible.
Many thanks
Dave

Probably best to do a google search & contact a T25 breaker, if you get no specific advice.

strip the tap out and split it apart, you may well be able to tighten a gland

My 89 holdsworth looks like this chances are yours is the same, as you can see it looks like it will come appart.

I have fixed leaky gas taps before by tightening a gland nut

Excellent work
worth checking it periodically too.
:ok

there is a lesson here

Don't assume you gave to replace stuff, it's very often repairable
Same principle appies to everything but as we are a throw away society everybody assumes new parts are the way.
