Rm 212 b fridge intermittant spark.

Post by paperhouselad »

Hi all as as above, normal 3 way fridge rm 212b electrolux fridge. Started to only spark intermittantly ( has the push button sparker not battery powered). So have cleaned up the electrodes but wondered is there a gap setting to be set for optimum performance, tia.

Gap should be around 4-5mm. If it's still intermittent, clean the area where spark grounds. Check the lead is fully pushed in to the spark generator. If possible remove the fridge and try pushing the button & you may be able to see if & where it's shorting. If it's still not working properly, change the electrode & lead first, if still no good then the spark generator.
