devon moon raker roof insualtion

Post by jim potter »

hi guys,

so in the process of revamping the van .
the roof will soon be off and getting some tlc .

as it was a secondhand roof when i got it , it needs a fair bit .
the bellows is now new but the inside of the roof requires new carpet.

has anyone successfully used a self adhesive foam insulation with the silver foil .
i appreciate the thermal value wont be great but every little bit helps.

i would then put a 4 way stretch carpet over it or also looking at harrison trim supplies suede liner.

I've been kinda thinking along the same lines as my pop top headlining needs attention. Is there any value in insulating when the bellows are fabric?
