Camper grill blows out after flaring

Post by maxstu »

Was fine for a long long time. Now the grill suddenly flares then blows itself out. It's a bit concerning cos if often sounds as if its going to explode. Should I condemn the cooker and by a new one or is there a fix for this problem?

Can happen when you have spilled water into the burner.

Propane or butane?
Cooking fuels must be in a gaseous state before they can be used with a stove. Standard butane boils at 31 degrees F, while propane boils at -43 degrees F. This means that if you are cooking in freezing weather, butane will not work well because it will remain in a liquid state. You would need to warm the container before using it in cold weather.
