Hi all
I was camping in the van last night and it was cold out, I'm usually more of a fair weather camper, but it made me wonder about the JK blinds I have...
Is it better to have the silver side out when it's hot outside, but to reverse them when it's colder so the silver reflective surface on the inside to keep the heat in better?
Or will the difference be so small it doesn't matter?
Thanks, Alex

Re: Best way to use blinds?
In theory you are right, but I would reckon that well over 95% of heat is lost by conduction and convection, and the silvering is there to reflect radiation, which there won't be a lot of.
Best advice is to turn the thermostat on the propex up a tad (if you have one), or wear thicker jumpers!

Don't think I could handle a night in the van with the sliver sides facing inwards, it'll be like a survival tent!

Thanks, I agree with you both! But maybe I will try it anyway, you never know...
