devon side elevating pop top - help -

ok,

so cut out he whole today.

tomorrow we will fix the new roof to the old roof.
whats the best way of doing it ?
i assume we need to attach the struts and then elavate it
which will reveal the hinge positions ???

btw this is a devon side elevating or moonraker as some call it


any pics would be great

can I ask where you got the replacement from as mine has seen better days and iv been looking for a replacement

also I was thinking about going back to tin top so you didn't happen to keep the bit you cut out did you as I would b happy to buy it from you if its ok ?

Just seen your email address. Did you buy that roof from me? From down in Essex last year?If so you have the pics??? I can try to measure the hinges for you as I used the same holes.

I had to put the hinges on the van first then attach the roof. Sit the roof in position on the van to mark where the hinges will sit. Take roof off and fit hinges, sit roof back on and fit roof. Then hold up the roof with something to fix the struts. Then everything else. After lots of head scratching your done.

thanks Da dan, that what we have now worked out.
hinges going on saturday. canvas to fit sunday and then its done .
or its the start of the end .

hardest thing is working out gap between gutter rail and roof .
although we have now done that .
waiting on a rivnut gun and fixings as i wasnt happy with pop rivetts .

domino i got it from proud to pop.
not fitted it yet so cannot comment on quality .
but very helpful so far . including producing a colour not listed for me
