Stripped my carpet off the Devon interior roof yesterday and had heavy rain. Looks like I have a small leak.
The drip is coming fromthe fibreglass directly underneath one of the screws from above. I'm hoping the leak is definitely coming from above that screw. Just a little worried the screws are rotten and won't come out with ease.
Was thinking of removing them and pumping some sikoflex 512 in the holes and replacing the screws with new stainless. Going to replace the sealant around the edge. Hope the wood is not rotten?
Anyone removed the screws lately ?
Do they come out with ease?
I only have until Wednesday as the interior is being done, don't want to completely strip down
Your thoughts would be a great help. It's a very slow weep.
Thanks lee

If it was me getting a new interior and it leaked I would take it all off clean up re silicon with stainless screws to be sure. Easy to do just be careful and not heavy handed with it or it will crack. Should unscrew easy

512 is good gear I would remove the Roof light clean every last drop of old sealant off it and then refit as you have put. Suggest you mask off the surronding are as 512 is a bugger to get off!

Thanks for the help.
Looking at the screw heads they are very rusted and have no way of turning them?
Any ideas?
Thanks Lee

Re: Leak on Fiamma Skylight
I used non setting plumbers mait to bed in the stainless bolts. This seems pretty much what was used from the factory.
Not had any problems & have also used when refixing the westy front roof section.
