Does anyone have experience/advice about carrying a tandem over a pop top?

 Does anyone have experience LIFTING a tandem that high? That would be the first thing to consider for me, I've enough bother hanging mine up in the garage, the idea of sticking it on the roof without dropping it would be a worry. Is yours too long to go on the tailgate (without wheels), perhaps at an angle?

We carry ours on the tailgate rack, wheels off. Give me a while to remember the password to my photobox account and I'll link a photo for you.

Yes I agree. I used to carry a racing hydroplane with it's its outboard engine mount secured to the tow ball and bracketed off the rear of the roof rack at the pointy bit. To mount/dismount it I just used to sit it over the tow ball and pivot it up to the vertical.

Not sure if you heard of this company.
If you got a towbar you can get many applications to carry certain things!
