Here is my '84 Caravelle 'Tin-Top' with 2.1MV. Bought blind off ebay. One of the best things I've ever bought. Tried/Hired splittys, bays, T4/5's too, before deciding. First year of ownership was the hardest, but we go away >5 times a year in it now, great drive, quiet, warm, good engine, good bodywork. I drive around in it, with a stupid grin on my face - like the rest of you. In fact I prefer driving it to my other (80's) bricks, to be honest!

Hi Everyone,

First post on here other than selling a few bits and pieces. This is my caravelle which I've converted into a camper. She's had a full respray before i bought her in VW toffee brown metalliic. Done loads to her. just completed the front brakes. New discs, calipers, wheel bearings, flexi hoses etc. Got her booked in for a pop top next week.Image

Hi, hopefully here are a few pics of our new camper van owned for almost 2 weeks now! It's an almost entirely un-modified Autosleeper Trident (if you don't count the replacement 2.1l engine and gearbox and the very 1980's chintzy seat covers) and all I plan to do is add a swivel mount for the drivers seat and a front table. And rear 3 point seat belts, some shiny hub caps, a bike rack, awning and possibly an eyebrow spoiler. And maybe get a trailer. Apart from that it's just how we want it :)

We've named it Ziggy on account of my better half not allowing me to call anything Keith (whether it be children, cats or camper vans). Looking forward to getting out and about

My 1 owner velle

Hi guys

Finally gonna pick up a factory multivan bed to bolt into my pride and joy 1 previous owner velle :D
I know it's a little narrower but I will have some cushions made from the original material from the existing seats that are coming out.
How sexy is this van....if I do say so myself.
This old girl was owned by the same man who ordered it from Vw for 27 years!...untill I bought it last year 8)
Original uncut door cards!...it had never had a stereo fitted....I fitted one but was sympathetic and placed a single speaker up front in the dash centre where the factory speaker would have been behind dash out of sight....I also put 2 in the kick plate in rear.
I have added the wheels and lowered it 50mm also smoked front indicator lenses, chin spoiler, square headlights with eyebrow, I removed middle row and laminated the floor for that campervan feel.
I love this bus.
It's running 19 inch Audi speed line splits

Very nice , if you need original grey material ( UG1 ) vwbusshop.de has some in the form of a upper bed cover, they are stored folded so have creases but will help to make a better cover for your multivan bed. They also have the seat base cover in that material for multivan width not the backrest though.
