That's why I designed an enclosure (with a thermoswitched fan) for my 2.5 engines that puts a bigger matrix in there sideways, at an angle.
It works.

yes, mine will have a thermostatically controlled fan. After racking my brain and searching through loads of different electric fan stats/dials, and not really liking any of them. I was given a great idea, for which im very grateful! and that is using the jx aux water pump switch screwed into the m10x1 tapping on the filter head! Its a 100c switch so will be perfect and bloody easy and cheap!

I am swapping my knackered door cards out for some nice ABS ones, and will take the opportunity to upgrade the front speakers from 10cm to 13cm which is a much better size. Being bored today i thought why not use up the sound deadening i have in the cab doors to improve the sound even more. So door cards removed, and silent coat patched around the door skin with a big bit behind the speaker location. Leftovers used up covering the holes in the door itself.

On a similar note.. I have the large diesel engine bashplate, am i right in thinking that originally came with foam sound deadening on it? If so any idea on the thickness? maybe 3cm or so? Also the foam that used to come at the bottom of the D pillars, is there anywhere you can find the sizes? Also presume it was just standard chipfoam?
