"feck" hell! photobucket works again?! This is my lovely view every time i walk up my drive. ive been enjoying the blissful issue free couple of years with the van, especially the last year where ive been ripping apart the golf. Thankfully thats mostly done now, so they both vie for my attention in regards to what one gets a drive....
1st bit of work i've done on the van in a while is fit a active sub under the front seat, fits and works pefectly!
Going back in time, summers hols involved the normal buckaroo set up :D
Greatly helped by the new underslung water tank!
Anyway, hopefully i can start posting again now! The last year has been all golf stuff anyway..

Nice, welcome back. How do you keep your wheels all mint? Mine have surrendered to rust, the powder coating hasnt really lasted 2 or do years :-\

You need to galvanise then PPC - PPC on its own is insufficient.

thanks everyone, amazing how time flys and you get out of the habit of posting. Also running out of things to do! :lol: hence the Golf country....
But i have some eber shenanigans to be getting on with, plus some battery stuff.
All is good though! The cooler set up is performing very well DSM , very good temps, and more importantly everyone is jealous when they see it :lol:
As for the wheels, they do have some bits of rust showing through.. not a lot though. I sandblasted and just got them painted. Not a big fan of powdercoating because it tends to peel off

thought id also inc my two favourite recent pics, Very hi up in the Dolomites and an amazing place to sleep!

PPC - Polyester Powder Coating

The 16" OEM Syncro steel wheels don't flex - they're super heavy duty.

after much deliberation i have decided i want/need an oil cooler of some description.. doesnt need to be anything big, around town the temp will get to 100c and on the motorway 110-120c. Now im actually ok with those temps, its just the fact that it leaves no headroom. Last years holiday, on some of the mountain climbs the oil got seriously hot! like almost off the scale! So, i got myself a bargain small cooler. Setrab 19 row, but half width (series one 115mm wide) i'm going to use the the gaping hole left over from the intercooler days, Got some brackets coming to fix it down, and if needed setrab sell a bolt on fan solution :D
Will fitted with 1/2" oil hose and a 92c stat. I'll also have the option of fitting the 80c stat if needed.
I'll also have to fill in any holes around the cooler to stop any air that gets there just going around it rather than through it.

No, not lately. The cooler came off ebay, new never fitted for something like £20. I find thinkauto quite expensive, especially the coolers and sandwich plates.Not to bad on fittings.
