Fed up with Your Syncro? Whats next?

Postby jed the spread » 21 Aug 2010, 16:38

Spotted this as well as other interesting vehicles over the past three weeks while touring France and Northern Spain in the Westy.

I took this of the running gear as it looked interesting, (going front to back, click on the picture for the video)

It looks brand new and must be the latest the Germans is churning out of the production line. It looks abit flashier than the James Cook conversion..

Hmm...LT 4x4 or break ranks and go for the Tatra 8x8 rally raid support barge...wouldn't need a house then

i wouldnt break ranks exactly... they are both MAN trucks. ( ok not the middle one )
what looks like an LT is a MAN 8.150 FAE and the other one is the brilliantly name MAN KAT.
see http://www.actionmobil.at/page37/page37_files/page26-1048-full.html
beautifully ugly.

Hotpod,
love the link, those mad Africans, wouldn't find me standing below 40 tonne truck that's clearly not stable, unless there's another two trucks with winches attached out of shot

syncropaddy, it was for sale last year for 22000 euros. we were very tempted. Lucy (my better half ) gave me the green light if i could work out where to get the money from. bless her cotton socks.
it wouldnt have got much use though so we are keeping the westy as our runabout till the boys have left home. then it is definately a big overlander, rent out the cottage and away we go.
i am already building it in my head.

aidan, i hadnt actually seen the other photos, i just found that one to illustrate a MAN KAT. you are right, nutters! and the rest of the photos are inspiring.
