Snorkel from bell housing?

What’s the idea behind it, just noticed mine as it was loose on the bell housing, seems a bit strange

Stops water getting in when wading...

If you are referring to the diesel then the 2 holes are for cooling the clutch.( airflow) Pipes added to prevent water getting in. Pre 1989 bellhousing only had one hole similar to 2wd.

I have a chap who is supposed to be picking it up after the 20th. If that falls through I will let you know.
