When removing your VC...

Postby silverbullet » 04 Jul 2018, 14:06

...do be careful.

When using the time-honoured "stand diff on its nose/remove bolts/give it a few whacks with a mallet" technique, exercise great care when withdrawing the nosecone just in case the VC is stuck on the splines i.e. it is hanging inside and then decides to accelerate downward at 9.81m/s2 and bounce off all available resilient obstacles.

I have recently had one arrive that has only escaped scrapping by the skin of it's teeth as a result of the above misfortune.

Otherwise its in extremely good condition :D
