Front diff lock switch

Postby Buellbag » 24 Apr 2018, 17:07

Hello fellow Syncronists
I’m currently fitting a recon VC, and mending the Speedo gear and unsiezing the front difflock! Multitasking if you like!
However: the diff pin is now unseized and freely goes in and out but when I screw the diff switch in and nip it up, the diff pin goes tight! I thought I’d test that it would all work before I bolt it back in the van!
I’m guessing there’s a washer missing between the diff and the switch! I’m sure there wasn’t one there when I removed it! I can’t see if there’s one on the rear diff lock!
My question is, is there a washer for the diff switch or not ?

Many thanks in advance B.B.

Rings a bell. Needs to be a metallic washer
to get the earth return for the lamp to work.

Many thanks for that!
I did hunt round for an alloy washer earlier, has to be the right size and thickness I’m guessing! I think copper can react to the alloy casing!

There's probably a DIN spec for it! Aidan will know if its used on anything else or yet another PITA syncro special part...
