Tank straps

Postby syncroandy » 03 Sep 2017, 10:11

Has anyone got a pair of intact Syncro tanks straps I could borrow, to use as a pattern ?

(Or buy, if you want rid.)

Ideally collect at Busfest..

Ta. It's in hand, a kind soul lent me a set of stainless ones at busfest, which I traced onto paper, scanned and output to a CAD file, just waiting on a quote to get 'em cut. Then its just a bit a of folding and a little bit of migging, and job done.

If the rear threaded sections are sound it's possible, retaining them.(without removing tank)
Clean the threads with a 8mm die nut and loads of wd40, carefully remove lower nut.
Lots of patience and wd40 required !!

Dave, I can get a set cut for you if you're prepared to finish them off. Still waiting on a price, but hopefully won't be too much. PM if interested.
