This is a great event, not limited to Syncros. If you want to go, please drop me a pm tonight and I'll send your forms out.

We have a very good discount for applying early and as a group.

Hi Guys

Has anyone been to this event before and what extras would be worth signing up for? The 2-3 hours of off-road fun I'm assuming is the same course for each day, is this on a special course and is anyone doing it?

Thanks

A few of us went last year for the first time, but only did the free stuff and that pretty much filled much of the days. I'm thinking of buying the routes book for us, which I think are pre-recced routes through lanes etc.

You could email them directly and ask the question?

I asked James from the Big Outdoors whether the off road course was the same each day and if it was a specially arranged course - not green lanes, here's his response:

Hi John,

The 3hr off road session? It is part of our standard Drive Day Route. We have two routes we use over the course of the year, all on private land, one at Bampton the other at Wellington. We are selecting parts of it that will be suitable for the vehicles that will be attending The Big Outdoors!

Saturday is our Bampton DRD route
Sunday is our Wellington DRD route.

There is also a navigation exercise which is a planned route that you have to decipher to get you to the start of each days DRD if you wanted to add something extra to the journey there. Obviously one route can go between several vehicles.

I hope this answers your questions, if not please come back and ask again.

Regards

To all of you who are heading to the Big Outdoors this weekend,

hope you all have a great time, the weather looks set fair - so should be a cracking weekend. Sorry we can't join you this time but hope to catch up with you at either Syncropendence or CamperJam. Take lots of pictures to make us envious..........oh and if you can find out when the next event might be so much the better!

Wondered if anyone fancied meeting up at VDubatthepub, 23rd - 25th June near Wimbourne Minster in Dorset?? It is £35 weekend camping for adults £18 12-16 years old (Esther goes free!!)

Looks pretty chilled & relaxed, we can register for club camping & then there is a club discount. Clubs can put on a display on the Sunday in the show & shine line-up (I think!?) and if anyone is feeling energetic there is dodgeball, welly wanging & tug-o-war team events that could be entered. Looks like they have a big pub, some decent catering outlets and some reasonable music.....see the website for more info.

If anyone else interested - give us a shout & I'll register the club.... tho not sure how much the club discount is!?

Cheers,

Kirsty :ok

Really enjoyed our first "Big Outdoors", great company, good laugh, just a few photos. A big thank you to Roger for taking me out on the off road course, showing me how it's done.
