Info on epytec front adapters

Postby lloydy » 23 Dec 2015, 15:04

At long last epytec have come out with an adapter for the 16" syncro. It uses all the same stuff as the 14" version.
Im after details on what parts i need and what model/year cars they are off

288mm caliper carrier, so far i have early A6, some passat models

ATE57 caliper, as above

312mm disc, quite easy to find

Any help on those would be great! Also, what do people use for the flexi brake line?

the 16" kit

Flexies were a bit of a pain, I had some made. I think I still have the spec if you need some?
I'll just go and see if there are any pics anywhere..

Audi A4 B5 have the 288-carriers and ATE 57-calipers as well, from what I know all models with the 1.8T engines, probably some others as well, the TDI's etc.

Would be a boring world if no one asked for or shared info though Andy :D
I quite like to hear it from the horses mouth too. Never 100% trust the accuracy of those sites.

thanks Andy, helps.

It looks like the ATE 57 caliper is a pretty universal part use on many models. Next decision is whether to buy a 2nd hand set and refurb them and the carriers, or buy new of both. Cheapest I've found new so far is £200 for caliper and carrier x2. could work out cheaper than refurbing old ones..

As well what ET would be actually required?
Thank you
