Bi-LED Lights, now in...
Hi Folks,
after buying my new old Syncro I remember that the Light output was more like a candle.
So I'm locking for a solution that is streetlegal, not kill the classic look of the van and bring
a modern brightness on the Road.
I go for 7" Round Headlights from TruckLite, they come for LHD and also for RHD Cars and will fit in lots of Vehicles
, so for Mercedes G, Land Rover Defender or the newer Jeep Models.
And they fit for the T3.
This Morning I change the Grill and build in the new Lights, this is how its look now:

Mad Light
Yesterday first Testride in the dark.
But all inside Hamburg, so I have lots of light from other Cars etc.
Very bright, very good reach to the front and also sideways, but the first 4 Metres in front of my Syncro didnt get any light.
For me this isnt a Problem, but I think its good to know before buying a Product with a Price like this...
I`m happy with this, and for me there worth the Money.

There is no need to spend so much money on some 7" lights
VW Heritage sell various round styles designed for mk1, mk2 golfs. These are easily modded to then fit the T3. A simple loom upgrade and all of this easily achievable for under £100 with fantastic results

There is also no need for blingbling Rims, or for a nice Roofrack...
I`m half corsican, I drive three sometimes four times per year down south ( 1300 KM to reach the Ferry) and I started here in Northern Germany 8-9 PM.
I like to drive this transfers at Night, less Traffic and nearly no Trafficjam.
Good lights, and I mean good, are realy important for me.
The original H4 Square Lights in my Multivan Grill isnt an Option for me, and I like the Idea from the LED Lights.
Friend of mine have a Westy with a Multivan Grill and H4 Osram + 50 Bulbs, I will go for a Beamshot with both Cars,
so everybody know the difference.
And, as said, theres no need, but I want this

Don't know 100% Aidan, but there's tons of defenders running about the place with them and they now have an 'E' mark on the RHD version.

Legal or a mot pass? As far as the test goes the bottom line is the beam patter on dip must conform...and the lights must not dazzle oncoming traffic...but that's not actually testable in reality...so if the beam patern is acceptable it will get a certificate at the mo...but it could change in future as its a hot topic.
Main beam is not an issue.
Standard lamps are actually amazingly good when the bulb is fed a healthy 12volts....and 100 w bulbs are legally ok untill 1986 or summat....
