i have been thinking about the bash plate for a week or so and made a mock up out of 38x38 timber, its based on the wbx engine bar which i have but could not use due to the exhaust route. once i have mocked everything up and screwed together i bought some 40mmX40mmX3mm box section and went too see ian.
the reason o have chosen 4ommX40mm is that it is the same profile as the rjes engine bar.

it is mounted where the original wbx bar mounts using the reinforced holes in the chassis rails. now i just have to form the actual bash plate which will run from the prop bars to the rjes engine mount and then too the new surport bar at the rear of the van.

And tea drinking. Plus cake :-)

what this thread needs is a picture of the cake as well as the metal

Metalmick8y would have had a picture of the cake set on a plate on a gingham tablecloth with a cup and saucer in the background
