This question arises from the 'Best Mod' thread in the General Chat forum where fitting the variable wiper speed relay 99 is mentioned.
I have the later fuse box but neither relay 19 or 99 is fitted. I have ordered a relay 99 and looked in the WIKI but dont quite understand the instruction to remove a piece of wedge shaped plastic from the wiper stalk. Is it absolutely necessary to remove it and exactly how is that done (the picture in th WIKI isn't very clear)
Thanks

The way that I remember it is the plastic wedge removal is to allow the wiper stalk to move to a different position other than the standard. Can't show you any pics as my van already had intermittent ones.

Re: Intemittent Wipers Mod (Relay 99)
It is quite straight forward.
It is just a wedge of white or cream coloured plastic that limits the movement of the stalk.
It is a two second job to remove the wedge.
It will take you longer to fit the relay.

Re: Intemittent Wipers Mod (Relay 99)
Can you move your wiper control stalk down from the off position ?
If you can, the white bit is not there, and all you need to do is add the relay .
If you only have off , and positions up for normal and then fast then you need to remove it .
